Gjensidige offers disappear in Lithuania - will offer ERGO insurance

This is not just a formal change. For customers, it means a real change in the choice in the market – and a short period in which all available options can still be evaluated.
What exactly is changing from April 29, 2026?
From this date:
- New insurance contracts will no longer be concluded in the name of Gjensidige
- new offers will be provided to customers in accordance with ERGO rules
- insurance conditions, risk assessment and offer structure will be formed in accordance with ERGO practices

This means that Gjensidige’s offers for new contracts are effectively disappearing from the market.
Will this affect existing insurance?
No – existing customers can rest assured:
- existing contracts will remain in effect as usual
- žalos ir toliau bus administruojamos Gjensidige komandos
- billing and administration processes remain unchanged
As the contract expires, customers will receive offers to renew it – but in accordance with ERGO insurance rules, conditions and logic.
What does switching to ERGO offers mean?
The most important thing to understand is that this is not “the same product under a different name.”
New offers will be formed based on:
- another risk assessment model
- different risk appetite
- another structure of insurance conditions
In real life, this means that for some customers, the offers may differ from those provided by Gjensidige so far.
Until when can I still get the Gjensidige offer?
There is currently a transition period in effect:
- Gjensidige offers are valid until April 28, 2026 (inclusive)
- after this date, no new contracts will be concluded
This is the last period when customers can evaluate Gjensidige’s offers alongside other insurers’ options.
What is worth doing for the customer?
The rational step at this stage is simple:
👉 compare offers from different insurers while they are all still available
On the Man ramu insurance platform, you can do this in one place – calmly and with the opportunity to objectively evaluate different options.
In brief:
- From 2026-04-29, Gjensidige offers for new contracts will no longer be available.
- They will be replaced by ERGO insurance products
- Existing contracts remain valid
- However, the choices in the market are changing.
👉 Therefore, the current period is a good time to review your insurance situation and compare offers.
